Yuki-Onna – OWLCAT PRODUCTIONS

Yuki Onna is an animated short created using Adobe Animate as part of a Year 2 group project with James Williams, Paris Nihoniho, Neve Rieseberg and me, Melissa Damiao.

The story follows an old man and his apprentice, when one day while out collecting wood, they must seek shelter from an incoming snowstorm. They stumble across a small cabin in the forest and decide to wait out the storm, at night, they are met by the beautiful ghost known as Yuki Onna.

Yuki Onna, translating to ‘Snow Women’, is known in Japanese folklore to prey on travellers lost in snowstorms across
the Japanese Alps. They are known for being incredibly beautiful, but with an ice-cold breath that freezes their victims solid.

My predominant roles within this production included; rough animation, clean-up, colour and VFX editing.
